Scene 1

Vihan was an orphan. His parents had died in an accident, leaving him alone in the world. He lived in an orphanage home with other children. He was an active and kind boy who loved playing football.


Finding the right kind of help

Scene 2

One day, a new warden arrived at the orphanage home. The children welcomed him, hoping he would take good care of them.


What to look for in a diagnosis

Scene 3

One day, Vihan was alone in his room when the warden entered after bathing. He stood in front of Vihan, removed his towel, and asked Vihan to look at his private parts. Vihan felt uncomfortable and quickly turned his face away.


Choosing the right clinician

Scene 4

The next day, the warden called Vihan to his office room. He took Vihan’s hand and tried to pull it toward his private parts. “Touch here,” he said. Vihan immediately pulled his hand back and said, “No.”


What to expect from your first phone call

Scene 5

Vihan knew this was wrong. He had learned about safe,unsafe touch and unsafe situations. He decided to tell someone he trusted. The next day, he told his sports teacher everything.

But the sports teacher only listened and did nothing. Days passed, but nothing changed.


Preparing for the first appointment

One day, the warden pulled Vihan’s shorts, touched vihan’s private body parts and whispered, “This is our secret. Don’t tell anyone.” Vihan stepped back, tears filling his eyes. “Stop, please!” he pleaded.

Vihan felt helpless, but he did not give up. He decided to tell another trusted person. At school, he told his class teacher about the warden. The class teacher listened carefully,and he immediately reported the matter to the police.

The police arrested the warden. As he was taken away in handcuffs, the children who had also been abused gained the courage to inform the police, saying, “He touched my private parts” and “He touched my private parts also”.

Vihan’s class teacher and friends clapped for him, praising his bravery. Even when one trusted person didn’t listen, he didn’t give up. He kept speaking up until another trusted person listened and helped him.

Vihan’s class teacher said to all children, if no one helps you, call the Child Helpline at 1098 or the Police at 100 directly. They will definitely help you.
